Just a few days before Hurricane Helene hit, I attended the Southern Highlands Craft Guild’s Heritage Days at the Folk Art Center (Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, NC). Each year, the guild invites its members to the Folk Art Center, their home base, for two days of demonstrations, music, and crafts. The event is open to all ages, offering a glimpse into the world of heritage crafts for everyone to see. Several traditional crafts are represented, including fiber art, weaving, blacksmithing, and woodworking.

I took advantage of the beautiful weather that day and headed up to the Parkway to snap some pictures of the event. Months later, I’m finally reviewing them and have pulled some of my favorites.
